ABOUT

It all started working in the fashion industry with an old Pentax K1000 camera. As a self-taught photographer in the field of architecture and landscape, Eric Ianuzi’s first photographs were 35mm reflections of New York City and color inferred images of Central Park. From day one, city scenes, architecture and nature were his favorite subjects and still are today.

A native of central New York, Eric grew up exploring the serene landscape of Lake Ontario, the Adirondacks, and the Finger Lakes, which later inspired his creative endeavor. He moved to New York City after graduating from the University of Denver, Colorado with a bachelor’s in fine art. As a young painter, he had a series of group exhibits at Silvermine Guild Art Center in New Canaan, CT, John H. Mulroy Civic Center in Syracuse, NY, Shwayder Art Gallery in Denver, CO and a solo exhibit at the Baobab Cultural Center in Rochester, NY. His work depicting 911 and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan would later join the artist registry for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum.

His love for imagery derives from a passion for art and design. Working in the fashion industry introduced him to photography, and he put down the paintbrush for the camera. Travel and various cities inspired his photography. Experiencing the history, architecture, art and rich culture of Barcelona, Spain, a city of his family heritage, and seeing the exquisite architecture of Antonio Gaudi led to a solo photography exhibit called "Barcelona" at the Roger Smith Hotel in New York City. In 2002, a photograph of Bow Bridge in New York’s Central Park was included in the Life of the City exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art. Eric’s imagery depicting the urban journey was featured at The Exchange, a signature design space at Boutique Design New York (BDNY) and in collaboration with Marriott International and Tribute Portfolio. In 2024, his works were published in Stamford Magazine and Soundings Magazine.

Ianuzi lives in Connecticut and continues to travel throughout the United States and Europe, refining his craft in photography through visual storytelling and a unique creative lens.
